Stella Young, comedian and disabled activist, passed away in 2014. However, her words and message lives on: disabled people have abilities, and those abilities will never be fully recognized if we do not see through the pervasive lie that disability means inability; if we have such low expectations for disabled people, we cannot be surprised that most disabled people are never given the chance to truly achieve anything.
